Most people I talk to think that Weston-super-Mare is not more than 200 years old, and I have to tell them it's up to 2,500 years old - the evidence being our Hill Fort on Worlebury Hill in Worlebury Woods.

This is an area that fascinates me. I visit at least once a week with my young daughter, trying to work out what the pits were really used for and who lived here and when. How far back does the history of this part of Somerset really go? We're starting to document it at Bristol Research: www.bristolresearch.co.uk and would love to hear your comments
