Looking across to Brean Down from the beach near the village of Uphill
A rocky outcrop projecting into the Bristol Channel, Brean Down is a striking landmark on the Somerset coastline. I have chosen this rich site for wildlife and archaeology as my Wonder of Weston because of the panoramic views on to Weston-super-Mare.
Brean Down stands 98m high and extends 1.5 miles into the Bristol Channel at the eastern end of Bridgewater Bay between Weston-super-Mare and Burnham-on-Sea.
